About Iggy

Where to begin…? Well, I have been part of a gaming group located in Wichita, Kansas for several years. It all began for me and my bro (HornedRatRob) with the tabletop game “Mordheim”. We both put our money together to buy the first set of the game and I began playing Skaven and he began playing Middenheim (I think…) We went off to college and met a group of gamers in Wichita in the spring of 2001. I have been hooked ever since and have continued to play throughout the years. There is a group of guys that have become very close friends and I hope that continues for years to come.

As of right now, I currently reside in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and have moved back closer to home in order to be around family. This means that Wichita, Kansas is a 2 hour drive for me and now I’m able to get in some frequent games with some old friends when time allows.

I have been an avid gamer and painter for over 13 years now and have had several different armies over the years ranging from Dwarfs to Brettonians to Orcs & Goblins and more, however, my main, go-to army is and has always been the Lizardmen. I love the Lizardmen army. I love that you can go crazy on the painting, using bright, vibrant colors on every single unit and it still ties in together as an army. I even had a stint where I was an Outrider for Games Workshop (back when they still had it) and ran and organized several tournaments as well as maintained the Agents of Comics website. I enjoy this hobby very much and have made lifelong friends through this game. I enjoy the competitive nature of it as well as realizing that we are playing “army soldiers”. For me, it is a way to get away from the daily hustle and bustle of life and relax with good friends and play a game that we all enjoy.

The purpose of this blogspot is to (1) give updates on my army status, whether it’s painting or converting, and (2) to keep in touch with my brother and other friends. There are several gaming spots here in Washington and I have gotten to know a few people here, which has gotten me back into the painting. I plan on competing in a few tournaments up here so make sure to check back often as I’ll be posting my progress on this blog!
